Description
Just in time for the spookiest time of year, Mason’s history museum will host a special “Seven Gables Forum” for discussion of experiences you or others have had at Seven Gables. The house and its surroundings located southeast of Mason have been considered “haunted” by many through the years.
This forum will take place on Saturday, October 12 starting at 1:00 p.m. The discussion session is free and open to the public and will be held in the 90-seat Virginia Schlichter Auditorium inside the Mason Area Historical Museum at 200 E. Oak Street at the southeast corner of E. Oak and S. Barnes streets in Mason.
Share stories and your knowledge of the grounds with other brave local adventurers. Author Chris Greenshields will be on hand to join in the conversation and discuss his new fiction book "The Witch of Seven Gables," inspired by the legendary local attraction. Copies of the new book released just last week will be available at the event.
This is the Mason Area Historical Society’s second forum this year. The previous one was on the history of Wyeth. Forums are held on select Saturdays during the museum’s regular Saturday hours.
While there is no admission fee, the Mason Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization that is dependent upon memberships and donations. They ask you to please consider donating to allow events like this to continue to be offered in the future.
