Parade Participation Information
This is an open parade and pre-registration is not required. However, if you would like to save time you can register prior to the parade. You will still need to check in at the MACC booth at the staging area (Mason High School south lot) to receive your parade number. All parade registration cards will need to be turned in to the MACC booth by 7:00pm to be announced in the parade. The parade will step off promptly at 7:30pm.
Pre-registration will close July 3rd at 10:00am. All registrations after that will take place at Mason High School on July 4th when staging begins at 6:00pm.
Only vehicles that are in the parade will be allowed into the staging lot at the high school. All other vehicles MUST park in the front lot of the school.
Your parade number does not have any bearing over where you will be in the parade. It is first come first serve. The number connects you to your announcer card, so the announcers know which unit is which. If you would like to be next to other floats or vehicles in the parade you must arrive at the same time. We cannot guarantee certain places in the parade.
In an effort to give the parade variety we will be releasing a few floats at a time from each row. Please be patient. We will let you know when to go and which parade unit to follow.
BY POLICE ORDER: No throwing of candy or other items from parade units is permitted. Walkers only may walk to sidelines and hand candy, etc. to spectators. NO GETTING ON OR OFF UNITS during the parade. The city and chamber are not liable for any police citations or injuries resulting from violation of this directive.
